Book of Ivalo
A Portrait of a village
Book of Ivalo is an ever-expanding collection of impressions and visual stalagmites, with the ultimate target of creating a detailed, four-dimensional psychosocial and spiritual portrait of a place.
The subject is Ivalo aka. Avvil aka. Iviza aka. Evil-O, a small Arctic village on the outskirts of the civilized world, surrounded by the last great wilderness areas of Europe.
The work began in 2017 and will take tens, maybe hundreds of years to complete.
